Not too much about botanicals...

Anyhow, it is 4:25 am and I can't sleep so I figured I'd write.
I went in to MAC the other day and really was pleasantly surprised. They have eye liner that is in the great colors (blues, greens, plums) that are vibrant but not overdone when applied. They aren't the standard pencil either. Don't you have trouble sharpening those or am I really just that spastic?

So, they have a turn type of set up (it's the middle of the night and I can't think what its called) -Rotating!
And the point stays really thin so that the line does not come out thick where it looks like drag-nothing wrong with looking like a drag queen but for my day job I prefer a softer look.

I bought an emerald green and a deep turquoise blue and have worn both. The emerald green is my favorite.
My eyes are green so make up artists always say wear plums and browns, but I am so bored of the earth colors-I mean, I'm wearing make up since I'm like 8 years old playing dress up-after a while, I think change is good:)
The green eye liner gives the opportunity to wear a bit of color without looking like a background dancer in a 1980's Olivia Newton John 'Let's Get Physical' video.

As a rule of thumb, brown eyes look phenomenal with blue liner esp turquoise. Green looks good with plumbs and greens and blues really stand out with blue and greys.
We can all wear the browns, greys and blacks although for really fair skin be careful with black because it can look too harsh.

So along with the eye liner, I bought 4 lip glosses and again-love them; I bought 'Slicked pink'-light and soft great over a darker lipstick or on its own for a natural sheen-
'glospitality' looks like a deep neon pink but goes on with just the right amount of color and shine, 'lust is lush' that looks neon orange but goes on as a light coral and 'gilded kiss' a bronze gloss with the most color I have ever seen from a gloss. Try to check them out-they are worth the purchase-a girl can never have too much lip gloss or conditioner in her house.

Of course, I have to go back to Amore Pacific and the tinted moisturizer-they have 4 shades-it moisturizes and gives a light coverage with an spf of 15-better coverage than any I have used before and it doesn't look pasty.

OH! You also know what I need every day and do not know how I ever lived without it????
The terra cotta bronzer by guerlain-no joke, I do not know...I saw it and thought oh, I'll give it a shot-it is unbelievable-I know some others who feel the same way...

Anyhow, just some mindless make up chatter today to take your mind off the deep stuff for a while.
I hope I have time to get on a computer later today to share more thoughts-lots going through my head these days.

Check these out online-the terracotta is at Sephora, MAC is from MAC (duh) and Amore Pacific Tinted Moisturizer is from Amore Pacific (duh again).
Have a sassy and beautiful Saturday HAAAAAAYYYYY
